Biography

I am Yuva Keerthana, currently working as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at the CAMB Centre, International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials, Hyderabad. I completed my M.Tech in Nanotechnology, and my research focuses on the development of advanced anode materials for sodium-ion battery applications. I am currently registered as a PhD scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.

I have hands-on experience in coin-cell and Swagelok-type cell fabrication, along with electrochemical and physicochemical characterization for performance evaluation of electrode materials.

Research Areas of Interest

My research interests focus on the design and development of carbon-based materials and metal/metal-oxide nanocomposite anode materials for sodium-ion battery applications. I am working on engineering advanced anode materials with improved electrochemical performance through nanostructure optimization and composite architecture design.

My work involves fabrication of battery cells at the coin-cell level, followed by systematic evaluation of electrochemical performance using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. I aim to enhance battery performance through structural modifications of electrode materials and electrolyte optimization strategies.

In addition, my research includes detailed physicochemical and electrochemical characterization to understand structure-property-performance relationships and to improve parameters such as reversible capacity, cycling stability, and rate capability for next-generation sodium-ion battery systems.
