Biography

Dr Madireddy Buchi Suresh graduated in B.Sc(MPC) in 1994 from Osmania University Hyderabad and completed M.Sc in 1996 and Ph.D in Physics in 2004 from Osmania University Hyderabad. He joined as Lecturer in Physics in the year 1998 and subsequently as a Scientist-C in the year 2009 at Centre for Advanced Ceramic Materials, ARCI, Hyderabad. He started his journey as Scientist-C and developed several complex shaped porous and dense ceramic products for strategic and civilian applications. He has also contributed in developing Zinc Sulphide and Magnesium Aluminate Spinel transparent ceramics paving a way for indigenous development of IR and Visible Transparent Domes for Missile applications. He has completed 15 years of research experience through various strategic and civilian projects and successfully completed five major projects and transferred one technology on honeycomb based ceramic inserts for Boot Antimine Infantry Application. His contribution in ceramics gradually elevated him to Scientist-F position and Head of the Department. He is the life member of Indian Ceramic Society and Indian Institute of Ceramics. He is an invited lecture for the UGC-HRDC and Academic Staff College of JNTUH and Osmania University. He is also reviewer to more than 15 peer reviewed journals. To his credit, he published 86 peer reviewed articles and one book chapter. Presently he is leading two major projects on Solid Oxide Cells for generation of energy and hydrogen as well as low expansion glass-ceramics for navigation and space applications.
