  • The process for making low cost bipolar plates has been further improved. The plate size has been increased from 150mm x 200 mm to 330 mm x 420 mm and has been successfully used to build fuel cell stacks of different capacities.
  • CFCT now has three configurations for fuel cell stack assembly: (i) 150 sq.cm electrodes stacks for 1 kW stack (or sub 1kW), (ii) 330 sq. cm electrodes for 3 kW stack and, (iii) 770 sq. cm electrodes for 5 kW stack modules.
  • A new generation fuel cell stack with reduced humidity requirements has been developed. A 1.2 kW stack developed with the new design has been successfully integrated in an electric car (REVA). The EV has run about 600 KMs in fuel cell mode.
