The International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology (ICONSAT 2012) will be held during January 20-23, 2012 at Hyderabad, India. The above event is the fifth in the biennial ICONSAT Conference series, which is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under its Nano Mission initiative. The Conference has significantly grown in stature since it was first held in 2003, with nearly 700 persons participating in the previous one held in Mumbai in 2010. The International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, which is a leading Indian institute in the field of nanomaterials’ synthesis, processing & application development, will be organizing the event. We are optimistic that the Conference will be one of the largest nanoscience and technology events in recent times. The technical sessions at ICONSAT 2012 will cover many diverse areas, namely CNTs & Graphene; Catalysis; Magnetics and Electronics; Lithography; NEMS/MEMS; Biotechnology and Biomedical Applications; Energy Materials; Thin Films; Structural, Surface Engineering and Tribological Applications; Nanotoxicology. Advances in synthesis and characterization techniques, as well as theoretical and computational studies relevant to the above areas, will also be addressed. The conference website www.iconsat2012.com is now live and provides registration particulars and deadlines for interested authors who wish to share their exciting results with their peers.
