Technology Marketing

Technology Marketing is concerned with disseminating information regarding technologies developed at ARCI by educating potential and existing entrepreneurs on the Social, Economic and Environmental Benefits of the New Technology. ARCI adopts various communications channels to stimulate public awareness and understanding of new technologies. Particularly to market its technologies nationally and internationally, ARCI has been participating in exhibitions and trade fairs as well as organizing business opportunities workshops in various domains of its core competence.

1. Participation in Exhibitions

ARCI has been actively participating in exhibitions with a view to showcase the technologies and the services on offer from ARCI to prospective entrepreneurs as well as to highlight its existing knowledge base. To market its technologies, services and knowledge-base, ARCI has participated in exhibitions such as Tooltech at Mumbai organized by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indian Ceramic Society Exhibition, India International Trade Fair, Technology Summit & Technology Platform organized by Confederation of Indian Industry, INDUS EXPO 2003, Transmat Expo 2004, Hannover Fair in Germany, International Trade Fair on Minerals, Metals and Metallurgy.

2. Business Opportunity Workshops/Conference/Symposia/Exhibitions Organized

ARCI has also organized several business opportunity workshops/symposia etc. to launch new technologies and showcase existing ones. Events to highlight technological strengths of its collaborating institutes from several countries have also been conducted. Workshops pertaining to innovation and creation of knowledge-based ventures were also organized. Some major events organized were Indo-Ukrainian Exhibition, Conference on Productivity in Powder Metallurgy Industry, Surface Engineering-99 (SE-99), Indo-US Workshop on Innovation and Radical Innovation and National Workshop on Knowledge-based Venture Creation.
