RECRUITMENT OF SCIENTISTS ON CONTRACT BASIS

ARCI, Hyderabad invites applications in the prescribed form for filling up the following posts on contract basis for its

5 years sponsored project (CFCT) located at Chennai:

01. PROJECT SENIOR SCIENTIST: 03 (Three) Posts

Gross Salary : Rs. 45,000 to 50,000/- p.m.*

Essential Qualifications & Experience: Master’s degree in Physical Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University PLUS 4 years research experience in Fuel Cell area (fuel cell electrodics, experience in different analytical techniques required for characterization of fuel cell components, development of fuel cell materials such as catalysts, polymer electrolytes, bipolar plates etc., design of fuel cell components, modeling, system integration and application demonstration).

Desirable:

a) Doctorate degree or equivalent in related subject from a recognized University.

b) Experience in managing and directing R&D projects/programmes.

c) Published research work of high standard and/or good record of patents granted/filed.

02. PROJECT SCIENTIST: 01 (One) Post

Gross Salary : Rs. 38,000 to 45,000/- p.m.*

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.

Please Note:

(i)Age: In case of candidates possessing the expertise required by Project CFCT, age will not be a constraint.

(ii) *Salary will be fixed depending upon qualifications and number of years of relevant experience possessed by the selected candidate.

(iii) The selected candidates will be offered purely temporary appointment on contractual basis in Project CFCT and will be posted at Chennai. Their appointment will be co-terminus with Project CFCT (up to May 2014) or earlier. The contract will be reviewed every year by an Expert Committee. On the basis of the quantum and quality of output as judged by the Committee, the Committee may recommend continuation of the contract, with or without lump-sum increment or even the termination of the contract.
